Specialization Domains
Bioinorganic chemistry, coordination chemistry, analytical chemistry and catalysis.
Research Interests
My research has focused on the two main areas:
i) development of novel sustainable chemical processes that are economically competitive and environmentally responsible;
ii) the design of transition metal complexes with potential therapeutical applications.
My experience in these fields involves
i) combining coordination chemistry with novel separations techniques to improve catalytic efficiency and facilitate product purification;
ii) design, characterization and evaluation of biomimetic transition metal complexes.
My expertise is in the areas of transition metal catalysis, inorganic and physical organic chemistry, spectroscopy, sustainable chemistry, tunable solvents, biphasic catalysis and homogeneous catalyst recovery.
